Leaders Of The New School



We was having a argument about this and had to bring it to The Dubb Spot...
What are your top 5 artist with less than 2 official albums. We all know if that Jay-Z, Nas, Biggie, Tupac, Eminem... Etc. Are in mostly everybody's list. But what about some of the newer artist. So who do you have in that list!?!? 

Oh P.S. Technically Biggie had 4 albums, if you count those albums Puff Daddy put out after he died.

    Couple of options: Wale, J. Cole, Drake, Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, Big Sean, Phonte, Jay Electronica, Meek Millz, Kid Cudi, Mac Miller, Tyler The Creator, Tyga, Nicki Minaj, Roscoe Dash, Pusha-T, CyHi Da Prince, B.O.B., Young Chris, Yo Gotti.... List Goes On

    Great topic. Here is my list:

    1) Drake - His flow is the most complete, he has to most crossover appeal and he has Lil Wayne in his corner

    2) Wale - I've been a fan of his for a while. He's different in a good way and has a crazy wordplay.

    3) J. Cole - Has the most upside and may be the most lyrical. Debut CD was good but production needs to get better

    4) Big KRIT - I love down south hip hop, and he has that old school UGK/Goodie Mob/Outkast sound.

    5) Phonte - His work with Little Brother was classic, and his newest album picks up from there. Very conscious and can rap as well

    1.) Wale. Lyrically he's the best there is out right now. HIGHLY underrated.

    2.) Drake. He's talented as hell, tries please the masses too much w/ chopped n screwed/houston niggas. Stick to what got u there, rappin ab stuff we can relate to, not bloods n niggas catchin bodies.

    3.) Phonte. Charity Starts At Home is a Classic to me, hottest album out, bar none. You can tell he took his time making it, didnt rush things, and steered clear of featuring other big name rappers on the album. Lyrical content ridiculous

    4.) J. Cole. Got what it takes to make it, but being under Hov's thumb has never worked for anybody.

    5.) 2-way tie b/t Pusha T and Jay Electronica. Pusha T is one of my favorite rappers and always delivers same time Jay Elec is lyrically more talented but will rap ab stuff you wont understand..


    Close runner ups Big Sean, Currency. Big Sean just rap ab his dick too much and doesnt really deliver everytime. Currency voice just annoys the hell outta me
